Kendall Young Library

Beautiful library. They expanded the original back in the late 90's but kept the original design so perfectly that you can hard tell where the addition starts. It has a good selection of fiction and nonfiction in the upstairs adult section, as well as a good teen section, and wonderful children's department in the downstairs, with lots of toys, play areas, computers (that are heavily staff monitored), and games available to check out. Not to mention their great selection of books. They have a somewhat small but expanding section of Spanish books as well. Both the adult and children's departments also have many programs to enjoy, especially through the summer. There are several historical artifacts on exhibit as well as a small doll museum. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The adult area is quiet and comfortable. With several study areas available with windowed rooms that can be closed off. The bathrooms are always very well maintained and accessible. They also have an elevator, so all levels are wheelchair accessible.
